Fireworks

Every year we are treated to ten straight days of fireworks during the Calgary Stampede.  Our condo balcony overlooks the Saddledome and Stampede grounds giving a pretty decent angle of the nightly stampede fireworks show.  The last few years I feel I have taken the same photos over and over so this time around I my goal was to try to capture them differently.

There are lots of tutorials on the internet/youtube (Try this one), so won't get into the technical details. I shot the first one with the Fuji XF 18-135, the second with the Fuji XF 55-200 and the third with the Rokinon 8mm.

Introducing Keltie!

When my wife's family decided to get a Labrador puppy last fall I was excited to be able to take some photos of her.  Little did I know that puppies do not stand still and are full of energy, which resulted in a lot of blurry photos.  The two below were the only decent ones of her as a small puppy.

Fast forward seven months.... The snow has melted and Keltie has learned to play fetch (she is also four times larger).  While we were visiting last weekend I was able to wear her out and get some photos of her being somewhat still.  All were shot with X-T1 and 56mm F1.2.
